Privacy Policy
Last updated July 27, 2026. Effective as of July 27, 2026.
This Privacy Policy describes how Galent ("Galent", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares information in connection with galent.io and any other website or application we own or control that posts or links to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Service"). It also describes the choices available to you regarding that information. We may provide additional notices for specific products or features when we collect personal information.
Rules for using the Service — including prepaid crypto balances, approvals, revisions, and refunds — are in our Terms & Conditions.
Personal information we collect
Information you provide to us
Personal information you provide through the Service may include:
- Business and personal contact information, such as your name, email address, phone number, professional title, and organization name
- Content you choose to submit, such as project briefs, role needs, goals, messages, and other text or files you upload
- Profile and account information, such as username, password, and settings you create when you register
- Talent profile details you choose to add or publish (skills, work history, availability, and similar)
- Feedback or correspondence when you contact us with questions or other messages
- Location-related details you choose to provide, such as city or country of residence
Information collected automatically
We, and our service providers, may automatically log information about your device and activity on the Service, including operating system and browser type, IP address, approximate location (such as city or region), pages viewed, navigation paths, access times, and similar usage data. This information may be collected using cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies. See Cookies below.
Crypto, wallets, and payments
Galent is prepaid and crypto-native. Payments are typically made with stablecoins (such as USDC or USDT). Depending on how you use the Service, we may process:
- Internal wallet balances and ledger history — deposits, locked funds, deductions when work is approved, refunds, and withdrawals
- Payment references associated with a deposit or refund (for example a transaction hash, deposit note, or confirmation details)
- Blockchain wallet addresses you provide or that are used to send or receive funds in connection with the Service
Public blockchains are public by design. Addresses, amounts, and transaction hashes confirmed on-chain can be viewed by anyone and cannot be altered or deleted by Galent once recorded on the network. See On-chain and off-chain information.
How we use your personal information
We use your personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or at the time of collection, including to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service
- Respond to briefs and requests, match talent, scope work, and communicate about next steps
- Establish and maintain your account and profile
- Credit and track prepaid balances, process deductions on approved work, and handle refund or withdrawal requests
- Send Service-related announcements, security alerts, and support messages
- Understand how the Service is used and improve product experience
- Protect against fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and other harmful activity; and enforce our Terms & Conditions
- Create anonymous, aggregated, or de-identified data for analytics and improving the Service
On-chain and off-chain information
Off-chain information (accounts, briefs, internal balances, support messages) is stored in our systems. You can usually ask us to access, correct, or delete that information — subject to what we still need for open work, disputes, security, or to keep prepaid balances auditable.
On-chain information is recorded on public networks. Galent cannot edit or erase confirmed blockchain data. Treat wallet addresses and transactions as permanent public records.
Your choices
- Access or update — if you have an account, you may review and update certain information in your profile settings. You may also contact us to request access or updates.
- Deletion — you may ask us to delete off-chain personal information we hold. We may retain limited records where needed for open projects, prepaid balances, disputes, or security.
- Cookies — most browsers let you remove or reject cookies. If you disable cookies, some parts of the Service (such as sign-in) may not work properly. See Cookies.
- Choosing not to share information — where we need personal information to provide the Service and you do not provide it, we may not be able to fulfill your request or provide related features.
Other sites and services
The Service may contain links to websites, apps, or services operated by third parties — including blockchain explorers and payment networks. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read their policies.
Security practices
We employ organizational and technical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we collect. Security risk is inherent in internet and information technologies — and in public crypto networks — and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your own credentials and wallet keys.
Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including operating accounts and projects, maintaining wallet and ledger integrity, resolving disputes, and security. When we no longer need off-chain information, we delete or anonymize it, or securely isolate it until deletion is possible (for example, in backups).
International data transfers
Galent operates on the open internet. We and our service providers may process information in locations other than where you live. Privacy and data rules can differ by place. By using the Service, you understand that your information may be transferred and processed in those locations as needed to run the Service.
Children
The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it as soon as reasonably practicable.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and post the revised policy on the Service. Where appropriate, we may also notify you in another reasonable way (such as email). Your continued use of the Service after the updated policy is posted indicates acceptance of the modified terms.
